Hello everyone!
---
I was approached a few weeks ago by two members of Madison's "Legacy
Board" (I believe that's the correct name) for the Bicentennial.
They asked me if I would pass along this important, but green info to
you:
They would like to either build or buy an existing building here in
Madison, IN and name it after Irene Dunne. It would be a theatre
playhouse!
The two gentlemen that approached me are Corey Murphy and Harold "Pee
Wee" Lakeman. They ask if you would give your suppport--it does not
have to be monetary--it can be an e-mail or written letter. The more
support from people the better! Here are the contacts' info:
Corey Murphy
975 Industrial Dr., Ste. 3
Madison, IN 47250
cmurphy@locateinmadison.com
Harold Lakeman
Parks Dept.
101 W Main St.
Madison, IN 47250
parksdirector@madison-IN.gov
I think Irene would be flattered to have a theatre in her name, not
to mention in her hometown.
Please pass this info along to anyone you know that is interested,
and pledge your support.
I was also asked to get intouch with Irene's family, as well...I will
do my best (Randy, you might be able to help me out with this) ;)
Thank you. I will keep you updated as often as I am able.
Sincerely,
Amy
